Propitia Sydera uses the title of the Chacona by Muffat as a point to departure to present a dance piece that reflects the idea of light in opposition to darkness: stars that are born and get consumed with time, the dance of a woman full of light (Mujer Sol / Sun Woman) whose life is overwhelmed by darkness, a trio that resembles a flow of water that dissipates, and the image of war that is overcome by love.
In a revised version of the original choreography, the Mexican composer, Andrés Solís, creates an original score inspired by the Chacona Propitia Sydera by Georg Muffat. This musical piece serves as basis for the second scene, one we have named "The Stars".
